Olympia Steel Buildings: Racing Into The Future
In October 2005, Olympia Steel Buildings owner Arnold A. Davis joined the world of NASCAR racing by signing a two year associate sponsorship agreement with FitzBradshaw Racing. Davis-- a 42-year veteran of the steel building industry-- saw an opportunity for Olympia to make an impact in the world’s fastest growing sport.
“NASCAR fans are right in our target demographics,” said Davis. “NASCAR enjoys one of the largest audiences in the entire sporting world. What better venue than NASCAR to advertise Olympia Steel Buildings?”
Olympia Steel Buildings was founded by Davis in McKees Rocks, PA. --
in sight of Pittsburgh’s Golden Triangle-- in 1973. Since that time the
company has grown to become the industry leader in providing all
steel metal buildings for agricultural, residential, industrial and commercial
use, distributing buildings in countries all over the world, including
the United Kingdom, Ireland, Israel, Denmark and Lithuania.
An additional benefit to the FitzBradshaw partnership is that it not only provides Olympia with a connection with NASCAR fans, but-- as a Pittsburgh-based company-- also provides a strong connection with NFL fans through co-owner Terry Bradshaw. Bradshaw was a Hall of Fame quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers and co-owns FitzBradshaw Racing with Armando and Mimi Fitz.
After signing on as a sponsor, the Olympia Steel Buildings logo was featured on the C-Post of the No. 14 NAVY Accelerate Your Life Dodge Charger driven by David Stremme in the October 14, 2005 Dollar General 300 Busch Series race in Charlotte, NC. FitzBradshaw fields three Dodge Chargers in the NASCAR Busch Series.
Olympia’s sponsorship agreement includes a primary sponsorship opportunity at the Richmond International Speedway on May 5, 2006.
“The added visibility will give us an edge in a very competitive market,” Davis emphasizes. “We have already enjoyed an increase in our sales leads and product recognition since the announcement of our NASCAR sponsorship.”
Olympia launched a new website, www.olympiaracing.com, for NASCAR fans to access the latest FitzBradshaw race results, news releases, and information about the team, owners, drivers, and crew, as well as offer special offers and promotions for Olympia customers and NASCAR fans alike. |
